No Windows 8 Settings were harmed in the making of this ISO.
No Programs are added.
No Unattended Settings were added to the installation.
No Registry Settings were modified.

Do NOT use this if you are not willing to risk having to reformat your hard drive. Microsoft could close the loophole that allows this activation at any time. You should check the comments to see if there is a blocked consensus.

If your key does not work, and you cannot get another, you will NEVER be able to activate this windows. You must have a LEGIT UNUSED pro wmc upgrade key from the upgrade program offer:

Free keys need to be used by Jan31-2013 or they will be blocked.
Purchased keys will never be blocked, but might not work with this method by the time the free offer expires.

Instructions:

1) Burn ISO to DVDR or copy contents to USB Flash Drive
2) Install Windows 8 Pro WMC either from boot or upgrade
3) Skip when asked for key (I did not enable adding it here)
4) Turn on See Hidden Files in Control Panel - Personalization
5) Double click data.zip and open in file explorer
6) Disable Internet. Either unplug or software disable.
7) Copy data.dat from data.zip to c:_windows_system32_spp_store
(Replace underscores with backslashes. Comment filter won't allow)
8) Run admin command prompt (winkey+x - admin command prompt)
9) type the cmd "slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
(Do not type quotes or Xs, use your noggin)
10) Enable Internet and wait about 20 seconds
11) type the cmd "slmgr /ato"
(If you receive error 0xC004C4AA it will work. Any other will not)
12) Disable Internet again
13) Copy and replace data.dat to store directory again
14) type the cmd "slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
15) Enable Internet again and enjoy your Permanent Activation

You can verify your activation by typing the cmd "slmgr /dlv"
You can also check the activation page in the pc info tab

imagex for image compression, export, prowmc flip and rename
dism for MSU KB hotfix integration
oscdimg for ISO mastering
